The Halloween event in Pokémon Go has awesome candy and ghosts treats

Spookiness and unmeasured candy come along with Halloween, and Pokémon Go has both for us to celebrate. From October 26 to November 1st there are great candy bonuses to most actions in the game!

For a whole week you will be getting huge candy bonuses all around, which means more evolutions of both rare and common Pokémon, which will also lead to XP boost.

This great event also shows up an awesome start screen with a lurking Gengar in the shadows announcing the Halloween event for Pokémon Go.

Most in-game actions, including catching, transferring and hatching eggs, have doubled up, buddies are giving candy four times as fast and there are more spooky Pokémon sightings. Here are the details for the Halloween event in Pokémon Go:

Buddy Candy - The distance you have to walk with your buddy has decreased four times! That’s 0.25km / 0.75km / 1.25km for the 1km / 3km / 5km tiers. So to get Charmander candy you just have to walk 0.75km instead of 3km! I already have my buddy Char with me.

Hatching - Double candy per hatch. For 5km and 10km eggs could be as much as 40-50 candy per hatch.

Transferring - Two candies for each Pokémon you transfer to the professor.

Catching - Six candies per catch.

Spooky spawn - Ghosts and spooky creatures are increasing their spawn rates - Drowzee, Hypno, Ghastly, Haunter, Gengar, Zubat and Golbat will be lurking around town.

Will you dare to put Magikarp as your buddy? Ok maybe that’s too much if you have only sixteen Magikarp candies like me, but if you’ve had a rare Pokémon that you’ve been wanting to evolve but haven’t had enough candy, this is the time to make it happen! So go ahead and double up your candy before the Halloween event ends.
